Broome, under lights

Regional location: Broome is in the Kimberley, outside the capital-city areas, so it's Growing Regions territory. Community infrastructure: Sports grounds, pavilions and lighting: 12 projects and $66.38M across Rounds 1 and 2: one in Round 1, eleven in Round 2. Lighting controls can be one part of a wider upgrade bid. Likely co-funding group (Estimate): Group 1 or 2 if the site is classed very remote or remote. Not on the Round 2 low rate-based list. Port Hedland's reserves

Regional location: Port Hedland is in the Pilbara, outside the capital-city areas. Shire of East Pilbara: Won $15M in Round 2 for the Newman Youth and Community Hub. Likely co-funding group (Estimate): Group 1 or 2 if classed very remote or remote. Not on the Round 2 low rate-based list. Confirm with the mapping tool.

Smart LED floodlighting for the Shire's "flagship community sports precinct", the centrepiece of its $3.9 million redevelopment. Best Use of Technology, Parks and Leisure Australia WA Awards 2020. IA Group built a control system that lets each user group pick the light level it needs, from 50 lux for social training up to 300+ lux. The Shire named IA Group as its project contractor.
Which program? Inside Greater Perth, so a project there would go to Thriving Suburbs; Thriving Suburbs lists it as a low rate-based council: Group 2, grant up to 70% (2024 rules).
